Today’s focus post-Mark Keppel — bogey-cap rules, Get Down from 100, range, putting

📋 Practice Plan

First practice after the Mark Keppel win (228–229) and Friday's team meeting. The meeting's throughline: capping every double-bogey-or-worse at bogey would have saved 26 strokes — nearly half of it (11 strokes) on hole 9 alone. Bogey is the target, not a bad score. Four rules came out of it: Find the Fairway, Finish in Four (inside 125, finish in 4 or fewer), Own the Four-Footer, Set the Pace. Today and tomorrow's stations are built directly off those rules.

8 players on the course; the rest split time between Range and the Putting Area.

⛳ On Course — Get Down from 100

Hit a tee shot, then walk to the 100-yard mark and play the ball in from there — every hole except 2. Record one number per player: how many shots to get down from 100. Goal: 4 or less. This is a direct drill for Rule 2, Finish in Four.

🎯 Range — Tee Shots and Targets

Tee shots, then target practice with 8-iron and less.

🕳️ Putting Area — Four Feet and Sixteen

Set up tees on all four sides of the hole. Make at least 20 four-foot putts total, cycling through all four sides. Separately, get down in two from 16 feet at least 20 times, also from all four sides.

📖 Rules — Know By Thursday

We don't currently know these cold. Make sure it's covered before Thursday's match vs. Rowland:
